Cupcake Envy - Cakelets 101 with Amy Eilert

Amy will be demonstrating how to make some of Cupcake Envy’s most popular designs such as (but not limited to) the purse, the dress and the flower pot.

In addition, Amy will demonstrate how to carve and decorate a purse Cakelet out of cake. She will present the class with styrofoam shaped purse dummies and students will then get to cover and decorate their own one of a kind purse Cakelet. Students will package their purse in clear packaging to take home with them.

Other Cakelets each student will create include: Dress / Flower Pot / Coffee Cup / Sandal

After this class, you will be a beginner no more!

Amy Eilert is the leading voice in CAKELET DESIGNS! Her company, Cupcake Envy, started a few years ago out of her kitchen and now reaches customers across the country. A “Cakelet” is a trend setting single serving of cake that is an amazing alternative to the cupcake! Cupcake Envy has started a “Cakelet” movement across the United States, and has introduced to the public a new perspective on the single serving dessert.

Cupcake Envy - Food and Fashion Cakelets with Amy Eilert

Monday. June 20th and Tuesday June 21st, 2011

There is no occasion that doesn’t call for a Cakelet! This 2 day class focuses on Cakelet designs that celebrate holidays, food, and fashion. Watch Cupcake Envy demonstrate step by step how to create their famous Cakelets and the many ways to customize them so that they make the perfect gift for anyone. Learn these trend setting cakes and give your clients a great alternative to cupcakes!

Each student will create so many fun little designs such as:

Ring box / Baby Onesie / Christmas Ornament / Flower Pot / Easter Egg with chick
Purse / Dress / Shopping Bag / Sandal / Sushi / Cup of Coffee / Cheeseburgers

The Business of Cakelets with Amy Eilert

Friday, September 23rd, 2011 - 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm and
Saturday, September 24th, 2011 - 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Description: Amy Eilert, owner of Cupcake Envy, has put the concept of sculpted mini cakes on the national radar with her unique spin on a single serving cake. Join her for a 2 hour class as she takes you through the business of cakelets. Topics discussed include: baking pans, sculpting tips/tricks, design, personalizing, marketing and versatility. Bring a notebook, you may want to write this stuff down.

In addition, Amy will demonstrate how to carve and decorate a purse cakelet out of cake. Students will be given purse-shaped styrofoam dummies which will then be covered and decorated to make one of a kind purse cakelets. Students will package their cakelet in clear packaging to take home.

Cost: $204 - Supply List: Rolling pin, pastry wheel. Instructor will supply all remaining supplies and class syllabus.

Holiday Themed Cakelets with Amy Eilert

Watch Amy demonstrate step by step how to create her famous Christmas ornament cakelets and the many ways to customize each ornament so that it makes the perfect gift for anyone.

Each student will create their own ornament faux cakelet.

Cost: $176 - Supply List: Rolling pin, pastry wheel. Instructor will supply all remaining class supplies and syllabus.
